Witnessing BDI’s grounding and messy Geopolitics in an uncertain Coronavirus era…
The BDI lost 41 points since yesterday and now stands at 433; Geopolitics might create more than havoc amid an unprecedented Coronavirus era. John Faraclas’ brief daily recap:
Whatever figure is below the 500 points threshold is treacherous so to speak situation for the BDI, and ultra-CAUTION should be observed.
The Capes’ fall brings the BCI in uncharted waters yet again. The losses today leads to another possible minus level situation, same as the one we witnessed a few weeks ago. Standing at 123 the BCI sends the message: grounding with 169 points lost… C A U T I O N!
The Panamaxes’ BPI was down at 645 – down 13 points and the situ looks more than bleak…
“Bless” the Supras’ BSI now at 434 – up three points…
No steam for the Handies’ BHSI, now down at 228 – minus 2 points.
The Wets in limbo too; the last published BDTI (Dirties) and BCTI (Cleans) stood at 870 – plus two and 964 – minus 105 points respectively with the Cleans losing the 1,000 points threshold… Expect further turbulences…
The WTI was up US$ 1,64 since yesterday and now reads US$25.78. The transport world in “siege” so to speak. Expect surprises… We believe though that his is a level affordable by the masses as over the past few years it has caused an upheaval for all as 2018, 2019 and part of this year same stood above the US$65 mark, even up to US$73.34!! Alas!!
The Stock Markets too are about to dive a bit… CAUTION!!
The Geopolitical situation remains the same with too many issues still unsolved and with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) anathema contributing to very bad projections in all Markets and fronts.
The most alarming issue is that we do not see any coherent policy in tackling Coronavirus and with too many mistakes, politicians are exposed and the public’s response will be asymmetrical damaging the entire world… The rising unemployment will create many issues in our society as poverty is on the rise with incalculable repercussions to happen…
