Perplexed Geopolitics with Coronavirus affecting everything
An odd Market result today with the BDI modestly down to 393 – minus five points. Politicians and their cronies cannot get above the circumstances as greediness overshadows everything. They cannot see or Zeus ex Machina doesn’t want to let them save the World? John Faraclas’ early brief recap:
The Capes down 31 points with the BCI now a minus 48!
Panamaxes were down 14 points at 614…
Supras and Handies trying to survive; the BSI was up six points at 446 and Handies BHSI clinched that point, now standing at 230.
All in all a very low dry market with a desperate need to go over and above the 1,000 and 2,000 points threshold; then we will start talking. The million dollar question is: When shall this happen? AND how?
The Wets still on a falling mode; the last published BDTI (Dirties) and BCTI (Cleans) stood at 863 – minus nine and 759 – minus 139 points respecively. Both Wet indices now way below the 1,000 point-threshold with the Cleans in a free fall.
The WTI as these lines are being written now stands at US$ 27.54 – up US$ 2.25 since yesterday… CAUTION…
The Economy on Planet Ocean was completely bankrupt reaching the US$ 257 trillion pathetic figure; the presence of Coronavirus made same go over and above the US$ 260 trillion. Unemployment cannot be followed anymore with millions added…
In the Geopolitical arena, it is now evident that business greediness overshadows politicians and medical people’s views and position and, that in turn, might cost lives, so wonder what is next in case we have hiccups with the relaxation of measures and Coronavirus surges further..!
In terms of events mind the MIGRANTS and the appetite of some pariah states to create chaos by using them as a lever to their dirty aspirations; take Turkey for example.
Tough days, weeks or even months lie ahead vis-a-vis the Coronavirus anathema and we MUST ensure we don’t overstay our welcome with the Auhorities who wish to see implementation of Rules and Procedures for the benefit of all all over Planet Ocean.
