Capes lose steam or uncertainty is here to stay…
An odd day as the BDI gained 24 points since yesterday despite the fact that the ailing Capes’ BCI remained unchanged, and all other dry indices results minimal plus, don’t match up… Geopolitics and Coronavirus still deteriorating. John Faraclas’ brief midweek recap:
The BDI (Baltic Dry Index) gained 24 points and now stands at 477. As said in the preamble, this doesn’t make sense given that the Capes are stuck, and Panamaxes’, Supras’ and Handies’ rise was minimal.
The Panamaxes’ BPI regained the 600 points threshold and now stands at 607 – up eight…
Nine points plus for the Supras’ BSI now at 471 and finally two points plus for the Handies’ BHSI – now at 239.
The Wets on a falling mode; the last published BDTI (Dirties) and BCTI (Cleans) stood at 792 – minus 26 and 62 – minus 31 points respectively… CAUTION.
The WTI stood at US$33.52 – CAUTION
All main Stock Markets were up… but the Economy down coupled with a full swing Recession… Wonder what do you make of this “statement”…
