Dries …“firming” but Wets dive; explosive Geopolitics
The BDI (Baltic Dry Index) gained 16 points since last Friday 29 May 2020 and now stands at 520. Geopolitics become explosive in many fronts and that’s bad news… Coronavirus becomes perplexed. John Faraclas’ brief daily recap:
The Capes’ BCI was up 36 points at 82 trying to get over, hopefully, the 100 points…
The Panamaxes’ BPI was up 23 points and now stands at 777…
Mild volatility with the Supras’ BSI losing three points plus the 500-point threshold and now reading 497!
Minor rise of the Handies’ BHSI now at 274 – plus three.
So, all in all a promising start for June and let us hope; we repeat once again that we are optimistic but above all more than pragmatic…
Losses for the Wets; the last published BDTI (Dirties) and BCTI (Cleans) stood at 698 – minus 15 and loss of the 700-points threshold and 560 – minus 27 points respectively… CAUTION!
The WTI lost nearly five cents since 29/5 and now reads US$ 35.44. Another area were we must all be cautious…

The Geopolitical environment becomes explosive:
The MIGRANTS are by far the number one issue and expect both despicable as well as asymmetrical developments to take place.
Turkey is about to shake up the entire Central, East Med, the Aegean, Northern Africa, the Balkans and Middle East with incalculable repercussions not just for the regional, but also for World Peace. The continuous premeditated rejections of the current status quo in these regions as a result of international treaties, its denials of Greece’s sovereignty – which is also the European Union’s, suggest that not only is part of the Turkish policy escalating year by year, but also suggest the existence of backers. What a shame! The UN, the EU, NATO and the IMO are totally responsible for Turkish actions… The Theatre of the absurd in full swing! The daily escalation of violation of Greece’s airspace and territorial waters – being also that of the EU, might lead to an accident… We welcome comments in writing!
The EU must triple its aid to its members in order to save the day in Europe and save Europe too from its chronic credit crunch, inequality and now with the effects of Coronavirus (COVID-19)…
The events in the USA are alarming and same MUST be peacefully and appropriately contained here and now…
Mind Hong Kong… a difficult exercise for all…
Coronavirus continues to cause concerns in all fronts, as things do not go as expected. Still a very perplexed situation and all we need is a united medical front to tackle same, as otherwise with politicians’ “novelties” and interventions things might take an unprecedented course with despicable effects to humanity.

We repeat: Do please invest in Hospitals including Equipment, Doctors, Nurses and any useful means to avoid further disasters! Become more disciplined and care for the Environment too.
