The BDI (Baltic Dry Index) following last Friday’s stagnation, fell 18 points losing also its 1,800 points threshold and now reads 1,792… Geopolitics: Explosive and Coronavirus might claim more and more cases and losses… John Faraclas’ brief daily recap:
The Capes’ BCI was down 82 points losing also the 3,300 points threshold and now reads 3,251… CAUTION!
The Panamaxes’ BPI continued its soft rise and clinched ten points, now standing at 1,597…
Supras’ were up 21 points with the BSI now reading 856…
Three plus points for the Handies’ BHSI, now at 438..
The Wets falling on a mild mode; the last published BDTI (Dirties) and BCTI (Cleans) stood at 499 – minus one AND losing the 500 points threshold, and 342 – minus two points respectively. CAUTION
The WTI as these lines are being written is losing eight cents since last Friday (US$ 40.56) and now reads US$ 40.48… We shall see later on tonight how same ends the day… at the end of the day (update) and as of 23:55 BST same ended down to US$ 39.60 which is 96 cents below that of Friday 10 July 2020!!! That’s good news!!!
On the Geopolitical front the MIGRANTS still the number one issue…
