Markets on green but Geopolitics and Covid on red alert…
The BDI (Baltic Dry Index) was up 30 points since yesterday and now stands at 1,540. Wets move up… Geopolitics still perplexed and Turkey remains the stumbling block for World Peace. Another lockdown might be possible as COVID advances further… John Faraclas brief midweek recap:
The Capes’ BCI was up 16 points and now stands at 2,332..
The Panamaxes BPI was up 76 points surpassing the 1,700 points and now reads 1,747!
The Supras’ BSI approaches the 900 points – up 14 and now stands at 893…
Five valuable points plus for the Handies’ BHSI now at 480 points..
A “green” day as per our title, well done…
Good news for the Wets too; the last published BDTI (Dirties) and BCTI (Cleans) stood at 500 points – plus three and 379 – plus 26 ! points respectively. Good too see the Dirties re-gaining the 500 points threshold…
The WTI, as these lines are being written stands at US$ 42.51 – up 88 cents from yesterday’s US$ 41.63; CAUTION!
In Geopolitics, except the MIGRANTS, we had a stand-off between a Turkish and a Greek frigate in South East Aegean where naval units of both countries are facing each other. Followings manoeuvres two frigates collided as the Turks tried to ram a Greek frigate. Tough as the Turkish vessel has damages and immy left for repairs. The Oruc Reis, the exploration vessel and all other Turkish naval ships left the Greek EEZ and sailed now for another violation into the Cypriot EEZ.. CAUTION.
Beirut enters a new age… and more troubles. CAUTION!!!

Coronavirus (COVID-19) anathema causes more harm and wonder, as mentioned yesterday, were the politicians will find a shelter to hide as they let loose almost everything and the second wave will demolish the global society… Another big SHAME!!

Lastly: Education and Training for all to be able to tackle these disasters. Let’s work collectively together and NOT opt for a fistful of Dollars to restart the already collapsed global economy… which is in red US$ 260 (twohundredandsixty) trillion…
