The BDI (Baltic Dry Index) lost 50 points since yesterday and now stands at 1,395 points losing also the 1,400 points threshold… Geopolitics become more dirty and some people in high places should either stop the nonsense or resign… Coronavirus also need serious politicians, in other words LEADERS who will not succumb to pressures from the business hooligans – who opened the Markets to help the Economy Stupid, but simultaneously, as the results and figures saw, kill people and multiply infections. The Capes’ BCI losses was back to the ripple digit ones and hope this will not continue as otherwise be prepared for the Autumn of discontent. Minus 108 points and loss of the 2,100 points threshold: 2,019…
53 points lost from the Panamaxes BPI now at 1,515…
Both Supras and Handies lost a point – thanks to …Posidon with the BSI and BHSI standing at 958 and 570 points respectively..
CAUTION for all dries…
The Wets suffered minor losses; the last published BDTI (Dirties) and BCTI (Cleans) stood at 452 – minus five and 477 – minus three points respectively,
The WTI stood at US$ 41.25 and that was encouraging as it might fall further; watch this space!
Geopolitics are simply a whisker away from seeing in many regions on Planet Ocean devastating Wars which will start from the Med (Central and East) / Balkans / Middle East. You are being warned!
Turkey’s president hallucinations in re-establishing the Ottoman Empire coupled with religion will bother for a long time.
Coronavirus thrives. Sailing offered us another chance to witness some wrong doings. 24/7 monitoring and ensuring all protocols are implemented in all respects is the only way out.
