Admiral Karl L. Schultz named Honorary Member of the Propeller Club, Port of Piraeus
On Tuesday 29 September 2020, against the backdrop of the Acropolis at the Dionysos restaurant, the President of the Propeller Club, Costis J. Frangoulis announced that, following a decision by the Board of Governors, Admiral Karl L. Schultz, Commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard, has been named as Honorary Member of the Propeller Club of the United States, Port of Piraeus.
In a short speech awarding an official plaque, Mr. Frangoulis paid tribute to Admiral Schultz and stressed the importance of the excellent relations maintained by the Propeller Club, Port of Piraeus, with the US Coast Guard, as well as their close, long-standing collaboration of the two in the Amver program.
On behalf of the Propeller Club, the event was attended by Costis J. Frangoulis together with Vice Presidents Costas Th. Kontes and Dimitris E. Patrikios.
In addition to Admiral Karl L. Schultz, the event was attended by U.S. Coast Guard Director Mrs. Ann Castiglione-Cataldo, International Affairs and Foreign Policy Advisor.
Assistant Naval Attaché, Commander of the United States Navy, Christopher M. Lepore, attended on behalf of the U.S. Embassy in Athens.
