Where to Find Equity for Shipping / ESG, Recycling & Access to Capital

This Thursday, October 29th, Marine Money will host two webinars we would have otherwise have held at our Annual Norway Ship & Offshore Finance Forum. The first offers owners, especially those outside of Norway who may not be aware of it, insight into the capital raising possibilities of Merkur Market. The second is a discussion and update on ship recycling and its impact on capital raising. Both topics have a common thread of ESG. We hope you can join us for both or one of these free sessions and we look forward to being together again, in person, as soon as possible.
To view the agenda and register, you may visit: https://www.marinemoney.com/forum/NOR20
Individual registration links also appear below the session descriptions.

 SESSION 2 – 29 October 4:00 PM OSLO, 11:00 AM New York
Executive Update: Ship Recycling, ESG and Ship Finance
Increasingly, banks, pension funds and other financial institutions are taking into account environmental, social and governance when selecting clients. A key part of the industry’s value chain, ship recycling is an area of focus. The Responsible Ship Recycling Standards (RSRS) are one example of the desire on the part of capital providers to minimize the impact on the environment and society that results from poor ship recycling practices. Recycling standards and expectations are a moving target that ship owners must understand, monitor and be prepared for. In this session we address:
*Responsible Ship Recycling Standards Overview
  • Background / reasons for RSRS initiative
  • Latest Developments / Requirements/Targets
  • Feedback from Clients / Success Rate
*Impact on Access to Capital
*Cautionary Examples: Reputation, Fines & More
*What Ship & Offshore Owners Should Expect/ Prepare For
