Market survival a MUST as Geopolitics and COVID-19 become nasty…

The BDI (Baltic Dry Index) after a long loop managed slowly slowly to regain lost ground and now stands at 1.148 points – plus 14 since yesterday and plus 33 from last Friday’s (13/11) 1,115 points. Wets too on an upwards mild “surge”. Expect tsunamis in Geopolitics coupled with a mess Coronavirus (COVID-19) perplexed developments. John Faraclas’ daily and weekly recaps:

The Capes were the only size with low daily gains but also with a minus weekly performance. The BCI stood at 1,435 – plus five and on a weekly basis down 72 – from 1,507 last week losing the 1,500 points threshold.

On the antipode all the other indices with daily and weekly gains!

The Panamaxes’ BPI was up 27 points at 1,353; on a weekly  basis the BPI was up 155 points!!

The Supras’ BSI gained 15 points and now stands at 930; 46 plus points on a weekly basis – from 884 and as said yesterday, conquering the 900 points threshold.

Finally, the Handies did it and today the BHSI clinched four points surpassing the 600 points threshold. At 604 “feels” safe. The weekly gains were “substantial”: 16 points up from last week’s 586.-

The Wets, given the circumstances, did “well”; the last published BDTI (Dirties) and BCTI (Cleans) stood at 438 – plus one and 368 – plus 22 points respectively. The weekly gains: 13 plus for the Dirties – from 425 and 31 for the Cleans – from 337!

The WTI was up to US$ 41.86 which is also US$ 1,75 since last week’s US$ 40.11; CAUTION.

Within 24 hours, Geopolitics got worse and Planet Ocean awaits the official result on the race for the Oval Office. The score stands 306 vs. 232 for Biden. Wonder president Trump’s feelings and that of his family, voters and team. With 5.9 million voters in favor of Biden, his win is more than decisive. Time for the Trumps… It’s over! Let it be… Meantime many journalists still write whether he can overturn the outcome…

All other issues remained per our yesterday’s news. CAUTION as the World’s worse Tempest is ante portas.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) is here to stay. The public MUST be prepared for major sacrifices… We maintain our view for Discipline by the public and Responsibility  by the politicians.

…AND finally, Happy Birthday to President- elect Joe Biden!!!!

Have a nice evening and weekend ensuring you continue to remain on guard from actions emanating from Pirates, Terrorists, Criminals and any Business Hooligans whatsoever wherever you are on Planet Ocean.  Once again a big THANK YOU to all who really care for all humans – Doctors, Nurses, Seafarers, Dockers, Port Authorities et al during this Coronavirus disaster!! We repeat: Do please invest in Hospitals including Equipment, Doctors, Nurses and any useful means to avoid further disasters! Become more disciplined and care for the Environment too. Lastly: Education and Training for all to be able to tackle these disasters. Let us work collectively together and NOT opt for a fistful of Dollars to restart the already collapsed global economy… which is in red US$ 275 (twohundredandseventyfive) trillion.-
