London International Shipping Week 2021 | Latest news
As we approach December, thoughts inevitably turn to 2021 – and after the year 2020 has been, we’re certainly all looking forward to an end to the pandemic and the return to normal life. That means a mask-less grocery shop, valued time with friends and family, and, professionally, the resurgence of the busy and bustling conference community.
Amid exciting progress around vaccines, and optimistic forecasts of improved global mobility by summer 2021, London International Shipping Week 2021 is preparing to be our largest and most engaging event yet. We’re looking forward to welcoming our many delegates to London for a safe and controlled, yet sociable and fully accessible LISW conference, as well as working with our sponsors and partners to co-ordinate their own events and announcements throughout the week. And of course as a hybrid event, combining the best of both in-situ and online conferencing perfected throughout a year of virtual event hosting, LISW21 will be virtually open to thousands more delegates across the globe.
As what will be one of the shipping industry’s largest hybrid physical and virtual events, in becoming a sponsor of LISW21 you have the opportunity to be part of something truly ground-breaking:
+ helping us to set a pioneering new trend in international conferencing;
+ and addressing the post-COVID, post-Brexit pathway towards recovery and green revolution for the shipping industry.
A variety of tailored sponsorship packages are available. All of them associate the sponsor with the entire week while some offer additional, focused exposure during the LISW21 Conference, Gala Reception and Gala Dinner. Subject to space and availability, the sponsor’s logo will appear on all official marketing material, including websites and advertising, the official App and social media, as well as on the pop-up banners that will be displayed at each LISW21-endorsed event. With our hybrid capabilities, sponsors can be assured they will gain access to a far broader audience than ever before, with sophisticated, data-driven analytics to capture audience information and generate leads.
CELEBRATING COLLABORATION ACROSS INTERNATIONAL MARITIME CLUSTERS
London International Shipping Week is proud to showcase the UK’s place within the international maritime network, and to celebrate our partnerships with our maritime contemporaries across the oceans.
The UK’s Maritime Minister Robert Courts recently praised the growing cooperation between Britain, Greece and Cyprus, following the opening of the UK Ship Registry’s first overseas support office in Piraeus. In a webinar announcing the opening of the new office, Minister Courts said: “We recognise the importance and influence of Greek and Cypriot ship owners and the long-held Anglo-Greek relationship. We’re hoping our new presence in the region will foster further cooperation between our proud maritime nations.
“This year we’ve seen much disruption and change. The COVID pandemic has highlighted the importance of shipping to world economies, and recent months have proven the vital need for an effective and resilient maritime industry to keep world trade moving.”
We’re looking forward to showcasing and celebrating further co-operation across the international maritime network during LISW21, and discussing how we take our global industry forward into a connected, collaborative future.CLICK HERE TO LISTEN TO MINISTER COURTS’ SPEECH IN FULL
