In light of the rapid spread of COVID-19 cases, the Turkish Government has announced a 19-day lockdown starting at 19:00 hours local time tomorrow (29 April) and ending at 05:00 hours local time on 17 May.

During the lockdown, all shore passes will be received back from all vessels as per Police Department instruction.

In such cases, persons who join a vessel as inspector, superintendent, etc and who stay at hotel during the vessels’ shipyard period will have to stay onboard.

Further, loading/discharging operations, transit passages from the TS and husbandry operations (crew change, transportation, delivery of orders etc.) will not be effected between these days.

Note: Cash To Master notifications should be informed 5-6 days before instead of 2-3 days due to limited working hours at banks during lockdown.

15-day quarantine before crew changes for vessels arriving from India
Wednesday, April 28, 2021, Fujairah, United Arab Emirates

As per the discussion held today at Fujairah Immigration, if a vessel is coming directly from India, it must complete 15 days’ quarantine in order to carry out any crew change at Fujairah. The 15 days is calculated from the day when the ship departed the Indian port.

If a vessel is coming from India to Fujairah, transiting through or touching some other port (outside the UAE), there is no issue to carry out crew change at Fujairah provided that the ship has clearance from a foreign port.
