Increase in tariffs

Togo Navy armed guard tariffs have increased with effect from 1 May 2021. This applies to all vessels currently embarked. Togo Navy’s bills must be paid before armed guard embarkation of vessels.

Checking maritime crew visa (MCV) expiry

The Australian Government provides an online website which enables agents, masters and shipping companies etc to conduct checks on the visa status for maritime crew. It is incumbent upon the crew member/shipping company to ensure correct visas are obtained and are valid before arriving in Australia.

Border restrictions

Cargo traffic:
Crew changes are allowed at all ports in Finland. Restricted nationality on-signers must obtain Schengen visas in their home country before joining vessels in Finland. Visas on arrival (maximum 15 days) may be obtained with special permission if the seafarer is unable to obtain the visa before traveling (for example, if the local consulate is closed due to COVID-19). For restricted nationality off-signers, visas can be arranged by the agent.
Cruise traffic:
Only cruise calls without passenger shore leave and ship cruises through Finnish territorial waters are allowed. Border restrictions were extended to be in force until 25 May 2021 with a possibility for further extension.
