Dry Market Euphoria; Wets still down. Geopolitics enigmatic amid spreading Covid…

A good start of the week with good omens. Geopolitics coupled with the worse ever Recession and Covid’s spreading will bother us for a long time. John Faraclas brief daily recap:

The BDI (Baltic Dry Index) was up 69 points since last Friday 25 June and now stands at 3,324 having surpassed the 3,300 points threshold!

Capes’ BCI performance was low but also significant having surpassed the 4,000 point threshold and now standing at 4,021 – plus 34!

A triple-digit plus points for the Panamaxes’ BPI made it a sunny day for all; it also surpassed the 3,600 to 3,800 points threshold and now reads 3,827 – up 185 and looks certain same will go over and above the 4,000 point-threshold!

Supras are doing well and remain steady; the BSI was up 22 points and now stands at 2,899 points!

The Handies BHSI gained 15 points and now reads 1,518.

All in all, surprisingly for the time of the year, a very firm Dry Market; cross your fingers and F I X now if you are free…

On the antipode the ailing Wets; the last published BDTI (Dirties) and BCTI (Cleans) stood at 614 – minus 10 and 451 – plus two points respectively. Ultra CAUTION should be observed… “wonder” though what is the causa proxima of all this Wets mess…

The WTI dropped down to US$ 72.91 since its highest level so far (US$ 74.05 – 25 June 2021). The US$ 1,14 drop looks like manna from heavens. We reiterate the view that the WTI should asap go down to US$ 39.99 if we want to avoid a global mess – social upturns etc… Watch this space!

Geopolitics remains enigmatic and be prepared for a global mess.

The faulty line between Gib and Afghanistan and from the Caucuses to the Horn of Africa– which we continuously mention and same is our second most important subject after the MIGRANTS, will produce more hot spots soon…

World leaders at G20 have to address all issues AND find the remedy… After all, what do we have diplomats for ?- the economy needs good diplomats to narrow the gap between the rich and affluent with the poor, homeless et al! CAUTION!

Coronavirus spreads, particularly its latest variant/strain: delta causes havoc already.

More Geopolitcs and on Covid-19 soon – for technical reasons we couldn’t upload on time our full report last Friday and tonight, but soon you will have one to knock you off.

Big day tomorrow for us in England as in Euro 2020 (2021) England play Germany; brace Mrs. Merkel…

On another note and tone, today marks the end of the three day unique on all counts event, part of the Bicentennial of the Greek Independence War (1821 – 2021), by The Hellenic American Women’s Council (HAWC) who has joined the effort by organizing this three-day conference titled “Bicentennial Celebration of Greek Independence (1821-2021) – Honoring Greek Women Heroines” over the weekend and today at the Anargyrios & Korgialenios Foundation grounds, at the AKSS premises and amphitheatre on the island of Spetses, Greece.  The purpose of the conference was to honor and celebrate four extraordinary Greek women who defied the prescribed roles for women in their century and emerged as powerful heroines and role models for all of us:

•           Laskarina Bouboulina – 19th Century.
•           Manto Mavrogenous – 19th Century.

•          Despina Achladioti – Lady of Ro – 20th Century.
•           Stella Kokolis – 21st Century – “Aristeon Award” Nominee and Keynote Speaker.

Will revert with a full account; watch this space!

Have a nice evening  and continue to remain on guard from actions emanating from Pirates, Terrorists, Criminals and any Business Hooligans whatsoever wherever you are on Planet Ocean.  Once again a big THANK YOU to all who really care for all humans – Doctors, Nurses, Seafarers, Dockers, Port Authorities et al during this Coronavirus disaster!! We repeat: Do please invest in Hospitals including Equipment, Doctors, Nurses and any useful means to avoid further disasters! Become more disciplined and care for the Environment too. Lastly: Education and Training for all to be able to tackle these disasters. Let us work collectively together and NOT opt for a fistful of Dollars to restart the already collapsed global economy… which is in red over US$ 300 (three hundred) trillion…
