Meeting: Next steps for a digital euro

The initial investigation phase addresses key issues regarding design and distribution. Ulrich Bindseil, director general of the ECB, explores these, touching on the business case for intermediaries, design options to ensure privacy and avoid risks and integration in the ecosystem, as well as the legislative challenges.
