Wednesday 10 November, 09:00-10:30
ISOLAS Partner Christian Hernandez will be speaking ata ‘breakfast breakout’ session at ISOLAS LLP. Christian is acknowledged as one of the leading lawyers in shipping finance in Gibraltar, as noted by Chambers and Partners, the European Legal 500, IFLR 1000 and Global Counsel 3000 amongst others. Christian will be exploring the subject of Ship Arrests, for which Gibraltar has become synonymous with due to its key geographical location.

Wednesday 10 November, 10:30-12:00
Partner Lewis Baglietto will lead Hassans’ Underway, a Q&A and networking session held on the 11th floor of Hassans at Midtown, in the centre of Gibraltar, with panoramic views across the Bay of Gibraltar. Hassans’ shipping experts will be on hand to answer any questions in relation to Gibraltar as a centre of excellence for maritime activity. All guests will receive a copy of Hassans’ informative Underwaymanual, which provides information relevant to both visiting vessels and the home fleet.

Thursday 11 November, 09:30-11:30
Following his Flagship Conference presentation on Combatting Cybercrime in Ports and Shipping, Ince Senior Partner Julian Clark, along with colleagues Anne Rose, Andy Powell and Rachel Butlin, will hold a breakfast breakout session on cybersecurity at Ince’s Gibraltar offices. It will be focused on a major incident scenario where a cyber-attack leads to a serious casualty involving personal injury and loss of life. This session provides step by step guidance as to how to respond in an emergency and the various issues that need to be addressed.

TRAINING COURSES
INTRODUCTION TO SHIPPING & BUNKERING
Internationally renowned shipping and bunkering expert Nigel Draffin covers the essentials of shipping and bunkering in a comprehensive overview of these sectors, with particular emphasis on how they are mutually dependent.
This half-day course is designed and taught by the Gibraltar Maritime Administration (GMA) to bring delegates up to speed with ship and yacht registry under the Gibraltar Register.

This course is designed to bring delegates up to speed with the technical, operational, practical and safety-related aspects of using LNG as a source of fuel for ships. It will provide delegates with a solid base from which to develop their understanding of this exciting and rapidly developing sector of the bunker industry.
