Meeting: Consumer attitudes to CBDC

Tuesday 9 November, all day

OMFIF’s Digital Monetary Institute and Giesecke+Devrient are convening a private launch of the ‘Consumer attitudes to CBDC’ report. The roundtable will highlight the key findings from the OMFIF-G+D survey on consumer attitudes to central bank digital currencies. The survey spanned four jurisdictions: the US, Germany, Indonesia and Nigeria. It explored challenges consumers are facing with digital payments, awareness of and approaches to CBDC and potential use cases for adoption.

This conference focuses on the means through which digitalisation can be used to promote sovereignty and integration throughout Europe. The three main topics of interest will be: retail CBDC and implications for Economic Monetary Union, the future of the European Union’s capital markets and wholesale payments and the digital asset landscape.
