Mercy Ships / Naves de Esperanza joins in support to the “Nautical Student Boarding Program”

The NGO MERCY SHIPS (Naves de Esperanza), is registered with the Ministry of Justice, and uses hospital ships to offer free health services, with hospital infrastructure and sustainable development to serve thousands of people in developing countries who do not have access to health services.
In the last 40 years, through various hospital ships, and with the support of associates, collaborators and volunteers from around the world, we have worked in more than 56 developing countries, providing services valued at more than 1,500 € million and directly benefited more than 2.8 million people, helping to strengthen the health systems of the nations that host us, either in terms of infrastructure and equipment, or through training programs and tutorials.
Here is a small executive summary of who we are and what we do: Mercy Ships, in Spain, Naves de Esperanza, is an international NGO, with offices in 16 nations, which has been operating since 1978 (in our country, since 2000) through hospital ships, transforming the lives of individuals and nations at the same time. In these last 42 years, NAVES DE ESPERANZA, Mercy Ships internationally, and thanks to the work of
our volunteer crew:
• has performed more than 105,000 surgeries
• has treated more than 187,000 patients and performed more than 488,000 dental procedures;
• has trained more than 49,000 health professionals;
• and has carried out more than 1,100 development projects, hospital infrastructure and agriculture.
