At the end of June, Simon Collins will be relinquishing his role as Lead Market Liaison for the American Club and Eagle Ocean Marine (EOM) at Shipowners Claims Bureau (UK), Ltd.
A highly-regarded market figure, Simon has made an invaluable contribution to the Club and EOM, benefiting both with the wisdom derived from his more than 40 years’ experience in the industry. Fortunately, Simon has agreed to continue as a consultant for a period after he steps down.
In light of Simon’s impending withdrawal from his current responsibilities, your Managers have pleasure in announcing that Richard Linacre and Chris Lowe have been promoted to new roles within the London organization.
Richard will take over as Managing Director of Shipowners Claims Bureau (UK), Ltd. from the end of June, and Chris will assume the role of Deputy Managing Director at that time. They will continue in their senior market liaison roles for both the American Club and EOM in addition to undertaking their new executive duties.
Richard Linacre brings a wealth of professional experience to his new position from many sides of the industry. Your Managers are confident that, in addition to his new responsibilities, his outstanding contribution to the development of the Club’s and EOM’s business over the recent past will continue with undiminished vigor over the months and years ahead.
Chris Lowe has equally served the Club and EOM with great distinction over the many years since he joined the London office. Your Managers are certain that he will continue to discharge his market liaison responsibilities with his characteristic energy and charm in addition to fulfilling his new role in concert with Richard.
In bidding adieu to Simon, your Managers thank him most sincerely for his service and wish him well for the next stage of his personal and professional life. They also congratulate Richard and Chris on their new appointments to which they will surely bring continuing energy and unsurpassed professionalism.
