
Future of payments 2022 Thursday 8 December, Launch
For the launch of OMFIF’s annual ‘Future of payments’ report, this event discusses the frictions involved in cross-border payments and the role that innovative technologies have to play in removing them. A panel explores both the technical and regulatory changes necessary to make payments quicker, safer, cheaper and more accessible. As the metaverse takes shape and digital currencies gain in notoriety, the launch event also examines whether these have the potential to improve cross-border payments, particularly for emerging markets.
