The Athens Stock Exchange, in the context of its initiatives to encourage the ESG investment culture in the Capital Market ecosystem, welcomed the President of HELMEPA – Hellenic Marine Environment Protection Association Mrs. Semiramis Paliou and members of its Board of Directors as well as executives of listed companies in an honorary ceremony. Mrs. Olga Stavropoulou, General Manager of HELMEPA, presented the work of the Organization aimed at protecting the environment and the seas, with the slogan “To save the seas”.
In recent years, the Athens Stock Exchange Group has been taking initiatives and implementing a comprehensive action plan, collaborating with selected stakeholders, to highlight the importance of sustainable development in the strategy of Greek businesses. In this context, the Group’s CEO, Mr. Yianos Kontopoulos, announced that the Athens Stock Exchange will participate in practice in 2023 in upcoming campaigns of HELMEPA – Hellenic Marine Environment Protection Association for the cleaning of beaches.
