London, UK – Robin Morris-Weston has joined award-winning digital financial crime platform Themis, as its Chief of Staff. Following January’s announcement of successful overfunding in its Pre-Series A round, in which the company raised a total of £3.1 million, Morris-Weston has been brought on with responsibility for Themis’ scale up mission. Themis aims to reduce the global impacts of financial crime through a powerful combination of Innovation, Insight and Intelligence.

Before joining the Senior Management Team, Morris-Weston previously worked with Themis in the role of Senior Tech Advisor. He has over 20 years’ experience in running technology businesses both within the UK and Asia-Pacific, and across a range of public and private sectors, including financial transaction technology, business process outsourcing and healthcare.

His most recent roles were as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive of CliniSys UK, the UK’s leading provider of Laboratory Information Management Systems, and Chief Operating Officer of EVORA Global, with responsibility for developing and executing commercial operational strategy to drive innovation and productivity across EVORA’s core Real Estate Sustainability Services.

Morris-Weston said “I’m thrilled to be working with Themis in a more permanent capacity and am looking forward to helping them secure further growth. It’s fantastic to be working with a company that’s got such a clear vision and social incentive: to fuel sustainable change in the public and private sector by tackling financial crime – a ‘cancer on our society’. The combination of innovation, insight and intelligence, and its cutting edge services platform, makes Themis a really exciting place to be right now.”

“I am delighted that Robin has agreed to take on the role of Chief of Staff. Having worked with Robin previously, I have no doubt that Robin will help take Themis from strength to strength,” said Dickon Johnstone, CEO of Themis.
