As always, the event will be held at the magnificent Pierre Hotel on Central Park in New York City. The dates are June 20-22, 2023. This year’s theme is “The Big Picture – Key Opportunities & Risks in 2023 – and Beyond.”
We find ourselves in a market unlike any other in recent memory. Owners have ample liquidity and fewer uses of proceeds than ever, because secondhand prices are at all-time highs and newbuilding ordering has been tempered by questions about energy transition. At the same time, the demand for fossil fuels and the ships that produce and transport them will remain robust for years to come.
Here are some of the questions we address at Marine Money Week: Is this just another shipping cycle, or is there a larger trend? How can the industry raise the capital, and find the solutions required to achieve decarbonization goals? Will marine assets be the key to solving the Energy Trilemma?
