DULY NOTED May has seen unusually cool temperatures over a large part of France. May 2022 had been the hottest ever observed since 1900: the 25°C mark was crossed in Paris on May 9 (26.6°C) and that of 30°C (high heat threshold ) touched on May 15. In recent years, it has happened several times that 30°C has been exceeded in May, such as in 2017 (32.3°C) and 2020 (30.5°C). The monthly heat record in Paris is much older since it dates from May 29, 1944 when it was 34.8°C. Consumers on the Côte d’Azur would save 10 euros if they shopped 300 km further west – the price difference between a shopping basket of 50 products in the Nice region compared to Occitania – the same selection of products and the same retail brand. In Occitania the basket costs 180.97 euros and in the Côte d’Azur 190.10 euros. SOURCE: BFMTV * The next state holiday in Monaco is on May 29, Whit Monday, the day after the Grand Prix.
