Mick Lynch will call for a meeting with Fiona Hyslop MSP to obtain assurances that Clyde and Hebrides ferry services will remain in the public sector and that CalMac jobs and services will not be privatised.
Fiona Hyslop is widely expected to be officially announced as the new Transport Minister later today.
Mick is speaking at a Calmac meeting in Holyrood, Committee Room 6, 5.30-7.30pm on Tuesday 13th June where he will make the urgent request.
The event will be chaired by RMT parliamentary group convenor Richard Leonard MSP.
