I write to share the news that DNV will acquire cyber security services leader Nixu – a major step forward in shaping the future of cyber security and safeguarding society from emerging risks.
Headquartered near Helsinki, Nixu employs around 400 cyber security specialists in Finland, Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Romania. Nixu’s experts safeguard demanding environments across industries and for some of the world’s largest organizations, with the aim to make cyberspace a secure place and to help ensure business resilience.
DNV has now become the majority shareholder of Nixu. In the coming months, following a process to de-list Nixu from the Nasdaq Helsinki Stock Exchange, we will combine DNV’s existing cyber security services business, Nixu, and Applied Risk – an industrial cyber security specialist acquired by DNV in 2021 – to create one of Europe’s fastest growing cyber security services businesses.
A 500-expert-strong team will make cyberspace a more secure place. We will lead the market by safeguarding IT and industrial control system environments and building business resilience across multiple industries – from energy and maritime to telecommunications and financial services.
We’re growing rapidly in cyber security to enable our customers and their supply chains to better manage emerging risks arising from digital transformation. Our new combined business will have much greater scale, and give you access to expertise across the whole cyber security value chain, through a broad range of consulting, professional, and managed services.
