More than three months after the start of the anti-inflation quarter negotiated by the French government with food wholesalers, a massive drop in prices on the shelves is definitely overdue. In June, the prices of food and consumer goods stopped climbing for the first time. According to figures from Circana published on Wednesday, prices in supermarkets fell by 0.1% from May, a first since December 2021.
