From the Chios Marine Club secretariat on the occasion of Mr. Antonis Faraklas being named best shipping manager of 2022:
It is our great pleasure and honour to announce a prestige award to Mr. Antonis Faraklas, our commendable fellow-citizen and member of our club, the Chios Marine Club, in which he served for several years as president. Mr. Faraklas was honoured for being the best ship manager for the year 2022 , in an event organised by NAFTIKA CHRONIKA magazine as part of the 15th EFKRANTI awards ceremony held yesterday July 12, 2023 at the Naval Cadets Academy in Piraeus.
Mr. Faraklas, CEO of Charterwell Maritime SA, Chartworld Shipping Corporation and Chartworld Maritime Management Corporation, shipping companies of the Kollakis Group, was hailed by the jury amid warm applause from the audience.
The president of our club, Capt. Antonis Pitsilos and the board of directors express their joy over this specific award as it proves the value and magnitude of the personality of Mr. Faraklas in the shipping spectrum.
Those who know him will recognise the special aspects of his character, his straight talking, his honesty, his social and charitable work.
He respects and supports his motherland and its people, and certainly his career is a brilliant example for the town of Vrontados as well as for our island of Chios as a whole.
