What a Diwali that was at Penningtons Manches and Cooper who hosted the event at their premises in the heart of the Square Mile earlier on tonight! Organised by WISTA UK and IMA UK (Indian Maritime Association) the event attracted nearly 150 guests, mostly from the legal profession!
A wonderful celebration of Diwali, the Indian festival of light, is widely celebrated across religious and cultural groups including Hinduism and Sikhism.
Congrats to WISTA UK president Monica Kohli from Guard as well as her team who enlightened us – we very much needed this enlightenment given what is going around Planet Ocean these days, with two ongoing despicable Wars and many other issues – wildfires, flooding to name but a few…
Good to see so many friends from the past and meet new ones. Excellent food including meat… Lovely drinks too including …tranquil fruity wines!
