Dear Friends of Culture in Action, ,

We are delighted to extend an invitation to you for a special charity event, an “Evening of Music,” dedicated to raising funds for the restoration of the historic St. Nicholas Church in Shepherd’s Bush. This remarkable church has a rich history, and it now needs your support to preserve its heritage.

About St. Nicholas Church:

First designed by Arthur Blomfield, the Cathedral was originally built in 1882 as St Thomas Church of England. In 1887, further work on the church was done and the chancel was added. It stayed as a Church of England Church for another 78 years before being bought using the St Nicholas Charity Trust by Greek and Cypriot business magnates. In 1965 it was officially converted to a Greek Orthodox Cathedral. During the 90s, the church had a designated bishop (hence the term Cathedral). The church has since been a spiritual centre for Orthodox Christians in West London and a cultural centre for Greeks and Cypriots alike.

Join Us for a Memorable Evening:

We invite you to join us for an enchanting evening of music, featuring talented performers who will fill the sacred halls of St. Nicholas Church with Greek melodies that resonate through time. Your presence and generosity will be a testament to your commitment to preserving our shared heritage.

To reserve your seat and make a donation towards the restoration of St. Nicholas Church, please visit our event page or contact us at via our social media.
