Friday’s Storm Aline passed with no major incidents and no loss of life, almost exactly three years after Storm Alex caused major devastation in the Vesubie and Roya valleys of the Alpes-Maritimes. Two empty buses intended for the evacuation of residents were swept away, as was one temporary bridge structure.
