Vetting Inspections for Bulk Carriers – Live Virtual Classroom
DNV’s Maritime Academy Hellas is offering on 4–6 March 2024, a three-day Live Virtual Classroom (10:00 – 15:30) on Vetting Inspections for Bulk Carriers.
Understanding the various aspects of the vetting process is of paramount importance for all vessel operators to turn current constraints into business opportunities.
Following a description of the fundamental concepts and terms applicable in maritime risk management pertaining to Vessel Vetting, the process itself is presented under different perspectives for a full comprehension of its objectives and how to achieve them.
The Vessel acceptance process, the vetting inspections and the Dry Bulk Management System (DryBMS) are analysed to give the key players, both onboard and ashore, the tools to prepare and proactively respond to the various issues related to vetting controls.
The course content is fully up-to-date with the latest developments of the industry, such as RightShip inspection questionnaire RISQ and DryBMS.
The course is designed to be highly interactive, with a number of practical activities that will enhance the comprehension of the various topics.
The objectives of the seminar are to provide the participants with greater knowledge and additional skill sets to make properly informed decisions applicable to Vessel Vetting and in particular Bulk Carrier Vetting.
Emphasis will be given on:
· Background and business drivers for vetting
· Vessel screening
· Reducing Risk in Ship Vetting
· Third Parties Vetting systems (RightShip)
· The Vetting Inspection (based on RISQ) – 4 step approach
· Introduction to Dry BMS
