Investors will be keeping an eye on the US PCE inflation release for February, which comes out later today, with markets quiet due to holidays in the US and much of Europe. Japan’s finance minister again signalled that the country would intervene if necessary to halt the yen’s weakening momentum.

In Cyprus, credit expansion continued in February for a third consecutive month, reaching an 18-month high pace. In Turkey, the goods trade balance improved significantly anew in February, but this time almost equally from higher exports and lower imports.
