Spring arrives in Windsor, followed by GreenSeas Trust

Spring is in the air and we at GreenSeas Trust have a spring in our step this month too, as we announce with great delight the placing of a BinForGreenSeas in Windsor.

Home to the Royals, Eton College and framed by the famous Windsor Castle, we couldn’t be more thrilled to have our the latest addition in this thriving town.

Windsor Castle is the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world. It was founded in the 11th Century by William the Conqueror, before the King made it his official residence. It has been home to 40 monarchs.

Eton college is similarly prestigious. It was founded in 1440 by Henry VI and is one of England’s largest independent secondary schools. The college still has many buildings dating from its original founding, giving it a rich history.

While the next generation of Etonians are being educated in academia, our BinForGreenSeas will also be playing its part in educating them on the marine plastics problem, the importance of recycling and the urgent need to protect our rivers and oceans for future Eton scholars to enjoy.

Windsor is linked to London by the River Thames. After our great success with our BinsForGreenSeas in the capital of the country, it only made sense to boat a short way upstream of the city and promote plastic recycling there too.

Our newest BinForGreenSeas will be well-placed, right by the start of boat tours along the River Thames. It will be framed by Windsor Castle, the Alexandra Gardens Bandstand and the Diamond Jubilee Water Fountains. It will remind visitors of recycling their plastics, rather than disposing of them in a conventional bin or worse, the river itself.

If you’d like to support GreenSeas Trust and help us locate another BinForGreenSeas after our next addition in Windsor, click the eBay link below to nominate us as your chosen charity and donate 10% towards a plastic free ocean.
