S5 Agency World to support Deutsche ReGas LNG terminal project at Energie-Terminal “Deutsche Ostsee” in Mukran, Germany
Global port agency to apply extensive experience in LNG sector to support second Deutsche ReGas LNG terminal project at Energie-Terminal “Deutsche Ostsee” in Mukran, Germany
May 08, 2024 – World-leading port agency and services provider, S5 Agency World (S5) has announced it has once again been nominated by Deutsche ReGas to support their Energie-Terminal “Deutsche Ostsee” in the industrial port of Mukran, Germany. Building upon our successful collaboration on the Lubmin LNG terminal project in 2022, exemplifies our shared commitment to excellence.

The terminal is projected to supply up to 13.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas annually into the most important supply lines in eastern Germany. After receiving its operating permit and the recent arrival of the Energos Power, the first of two planned floating storage and regasification units in Mukran, the Energie-Terminal “Deutsche Ostsee” started commissioning.

Furthermore, the arrival of the Neptune, a second regasification vessel set to join the Energie-Terminal “Deutsche Ostsee” in Mukran this summer after its departure from Lubmin, underscores the depth of our commitment to excellence and innovation.

Once fully operational, the Energie-Terminal “Deutsche Ostsee” will, even more, contribute to energy security in Germany and eastern Europe by facilitating the seamless distribution of 13.5 bcm of natural gas through the extensive long-distance gas pipelines per year, thereby reinforcing regional energy resilience and sustainability.

Nabila Akil, Key Account Manager at S5 Agency World, commented: “S5 is honoured to be working again with Deutsche ReGas to help contribute to the energy security of Germany and other Eastern European countries. We look forward to accompanying them as Terminal Agent in the Port of Mukran to deliver safe and efficient operations for the terminal.”
