The 14th Annual Capital Link Sustainability Forum
entitled “Sustainability – Investments & Economic Growth”
Successfully concluded with great success and record attendance on May 28, 2024, under the Auspices of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry at Divani Caravel Hotel.

Speakers included distinguished representatives from the Greek Government, heads of biggest Economy sectors and Companies and Organizations, as well as the renown Greek-American Business Leader Mr. George M. Logothetis, Executive Chairman Libra Group. This year’s Forum concluded by highlighting the fact that adopting Sustainability and integrating ESG criteria is the only option for sustainable development – especially in the present era, which is marked by exponential technological advancements across various levels, sectors, and industries. In this rapidly evolving environment, it is imperative to leverage an array of financial and investment tools. The transition to a sustainable tomorrow is huge and requires all parties to collaborate so that adopted measures can bring about a new approach not only to finance, but also to the economy and society in general.
The Forum’s audience of 500 attendees was engrossed in the fascinating discussions of topical issues by the 35 exceptional speakers featured at the event. The room remained fully packed throughout the entire duration of the Forum.

The “2024 Capital Link Sustainability Leadership Award” was presented to Mr. Yianos Kontopoulos, CEO of Athens Exchange Group
The award honors and recognizes:
Mr. Kontopoulos for his significant contributions to the revitalization of the Greek economy. His initiatives have led to a remarkable transformation of the Hellenic Stock Exchange, characterized by record profitability for listed companies and a surge in foreign investor interest in Greek shares. Under his leadership, the Exchange has set strategic objectives, including enhancing the competitiveness of the Alternative Market. This aims to provide compelling incentives for the entry of Greek startups and fintech companies. Furthermore, the Athens Stock Exchange’s active involvement in the United Nations’ Sustainable Stock Exchanges (SSE) initiative underscores a tangible commitment to improving the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) reporting standards of Greek listed companies, highlighting Mr. Kontopoulos’ dedication to sustainable and responsible business practices.
