Closelink’s procurement capabilities will bring cost savings and streamlined workflows to users of LR OneOcean’s fleet management software.
LR OneOcean (LR OO) has partnered with Closelink to streamline the procurement of marine lubricants through its fleet management software, which LR OO expects to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency for shipping companies using the system. Hamburg-based Closelink’s procurement platform has been integrated into the LR OO Cloud Fleet Manager Purchase module for automatic transfer of lube-oil requisitions and an optimised planning and ordering process managed by Closelink.
Following the integration of Closelink into the Cloud Fleet Manager module, requisitions and orders are automatically exchanged between the two systems. Users will also have full access to Closelink’s full suite of features, including real-time access to price information and optimised purchasing options, always taking into consideration vessel-specific data on current remaining-on-board lubricants and up-to-date schedules.
Advantages for clients include seamless and automated workflows between the two systems to allow access to Closelink’s cost-optimisation features, based on strategic planning and order optimisation, as well as a lubricants-tailored procurement process.
LR OneOcean’s General Manager for Cloud Fleet Manager, Alexander Buchmann, said: “The integration of Closelink’s procurement capabilities with LR OneOcean’s Cloud Fleet Manager streamlines operations and enhances efficiency, which in turn brings cost savings, offering additional value to our clients. By partnering with Closelink, we are once again showing our commitment to creating advanced digital solutions that meet the evolving needs of the maritime industry.”
Closelink’s CEO, Philippe Lavarde, said: “The integration of Closelink with Cloud Fleet Manager marks a significant milestone in enhancing procurement processes within the maritime industry. This collaboration allows our clients to benefit from seamless, automated workflows across their teams and access to real-time information, leading to more informed, data-driven decision-making and, ultimately, tangible cost savings.”
