Chef Juan Mari Arzak – the 8th best for 2008 – found it “marvellous” and Tom Aikens has been using it for its “unrivalled fruity taste”. The LA Times called it “brilliant”, The Independent “The champagne of the olive oil world” and Times UK “one man’s quest for olive oil perfection”.

Produced by Speiron, the Greek Pioneering Luxury Food & Beverage Company, λ /lambda/ is the first luxury olive oil in the world since 2007.

It is a multi-award winning, limited production ultra-premium olive oil which has constantly median of Fruitiness (mF) over 5.0, a specification that transforms the olive oil tasting into an experience.

From some of the oldest centenarian olive trees of Peloponnese the finest olives are handpicked and pressed with utmost care. Then this superb, ultra-low acidity liquid, which is being created each year by the Founder & olive oil expert Giorgos Kolliopoulos, is being bottled and labeled entirely by hand.

Each and every bottle passes five quality controls. It takes eight pairs of hands and equal sets of eyes in order to ensure minimum oxidation and maximum attention to detail.

Also available in a exquisite handcrafted gift box packaging and in aone-of-a-kind bespoke creation, the Bespoke λ /lambda/, where the customer can have their signature embossed on bottle, along with a special marking on the shoulder of the bottle.

Eight craftsmen join their forces for thirty days to create a stunning, white lacquered handcrafted case made of solid wood that bears two 18k white gold plates, the one marking the exclusive λ /lambda/ highly personal service and the other bearing the name of the owner. The case is also available with a silver-plated option and it is accompanied by a Certificate of Exclusivity and a Certificate of Exceptional Quality.

Organoleptic analysis – Harvest 2024-2025

Medium fruity, medium peppery, slightly bitter, sweet notes of almonds, artichoke, green apple, vanilla. Very well balanced.
