“KALES THALASSES – SATURDAY SHIFT” and THE VOICE OF GREECE honored the  International Women’s Day with a special 2-hour show dedicated to the place and contribution of women in shipping .

The show’s guests were:

  • Dr. Marina Papaioannou, Regional Director of DNV Academies for SE Europe,
  • Prof. Maria Boile , Professor at the University of Piraeus in the Maritime Department – Director of the Master’s Program in Shipping and Coordinator of the European Technology Platform for Maritime Transport,
  • Irene Notia , founder of Project Connect and the Adopt a Ship program, and
  • Afroditi Korexanou 3rd Engineer in the Merchant Navy – Coastal Shipping

Each of the guests explains what her subject is and her position/place in shipping, and what difficulties they faced (if any) at the beginning of their journey in a previously male-dominated field.

We look forward to your comments.
