What a timely event taking place as you read these lines at the Greek Island of Chios and in particular at “Yiannis Karalis” amphitheatre of the University of Aegean.

This two day event “targets” students of the Merchant Marine Academy of Deck Officers at the adjacent Island of Innousses, the Merchant Marine Academy of Engineers of Chios as well as undergraduate and post graduate – masters degree students of the University of the Aegean – department of Shipping, Trade and Transport. The event is under the auspices of Chartworld Shipping Corporation, for decades, a great benefactor to Shipping, Maritime Education and internships, needless to say jobs at sea, a great plus for Greece’s seafaring community!

A meticulous construed program / agenda supervised and coordinated by Capt Georgios Georgoulis from the respective department of Shipping, Trade and Transport Services of the University of the Aegean covers all aspects of the industry.
