In a world where fashion often overlooks the hands behind the stitches, Pairi Daeza’s Fall/Winter 2025-26 collection, Winter Solstice, offers a deeply human alternative—an exquisite blend of Persian legacy, Italian craftsmanship, and social responsibility. Designed for the modern conscious wearer, this season’s garments evoke a poetic fusion of ancestral Iranian techniques and contemporary silhouettes, reinterpreted through sustainable practices and meaningful cultural symbolism.

The collection draws inspiration from Yalda, the Persian celebration of the winter solstice, when the golden Sun and silver Moon—feminine and masculine archetypes in Persian culture—appear side by side in the sky’s longest night.

This mystic alignment informs both the mood and palette of the season, with rich shades and celestial motifs embroidered, woven, and printed onto garments by marginalized artisans in Iran. Fabrics are sourced from Italian deadstock, transforming would-be waste into high-value fashion objects steeped in heritage.

Intricate Ghalamkar hand-printing, zodiac symbols etched in brass or wood, mirror crochet embroidery, and UNESCO-recognized Baluch and Afghan needlework adorn jackets, skirts, vests, and outerwear crafted in iconic Persian jacquard featuring the boteh motif—the cypress tree symbolizing life and eternity.

Accessories are equally considered, with bags made from hand-knotted rugs by nomadic women or intricate Khatam-kari wood marquetry, and socks hand-knit by craftswomen from Gilak. Even the shawls are handwoven, reinforcing the brand’s dedication to slow fashion and its community-first model.

Founded by Iranian sisters Yasaman and Nastaran Rezaee, Pairi Daeza (meaning “walled garden” in ancient Persian, the root of the word “paradise”) champions a vision of fashion that transcends borders and seasons. The FW25-26 collection isn’t just a wardrobe—it’s a manifesto of dreams, diversity, and the lasting beauty of cultural storytelling through ethical design.
