For the first time, the shipping company will operate services on the route between Tarifa and Tangier Ville, with up to 12 daily departures.

The shipping company has also strengthened its links with Algeria, with two new routes from Barcelona to Algiers and Oran, and has expanded to three weekly connections between Valencia and Mostaganem.
Baleària presents its largest ever maritime connection offering for Operation Crossing the Strait (OPE) to meet the high passenger demand concentrated from June 15 to September 15. The Spanish shipping company will offer up to 34 daily connections on the routes involved in the campaign (Tarifa-Tangier Ville, Algeciras-Tangier Med, Almería-Nador, Motril-Tangier Med, Málaga-Melilla, Algeciras-Ceuta, Valencia-Mostaganem), in addition to connections from Barcelona to Algiers and Oran.

Baleària’s main innovation is that it will operate for the first time on the Tarifa-Tangier Ville route, where it will make up to 12 daily connections between Spain and Morocco with two high-speed vessels. Furthermore, the company has strengthened its presence in Algeria with two new routes from Barcelona to Algiers and Oran, and has expanded its weekly connections between Valencia and Mostaganem to three.

“This program represents our largest ever offering for the OPE, and reaffirms our commitment to efficient mobility adapted to the passengers who cross the Strait of Gibraltar and the Alboran Sea each summer to reunite with their families. North Africa is our main international market, and we want to provide a quality, competitive service that meets the expectations of the thousands of customers who trust Baleària,” emphasized Georges Bassoul, CEO of Baleària.

The shipping company will offer a flexible offering throughout the weeks with 10 vessels, including ferries and fast ferries , some of which have recently been completely renovated to improve the travel experience. Furthermore, Baleària ships on these routes offer onboard services tailored to passengers from different parts of Europe, including service, catering, and worship. Guests have access to Arabic- and French-speaking passenger assistants, bars and restaurants offer halal food, and there are dedicated prayer rooms during the voyage.

To address this campaign, Baleària has strengthened its crews and operations and customer service teams with the addition of more than 300 professionals in its offices in southern Spain and North Africa.
