Supreme President Savas Tsivicos authorized the re-opening of the AHEPA Emergency Fund on June 23rd, 2025, to provide humanitarian assistance for the victims of the Chios wildfires.
According to Reuters, over 350 firefighters were sent to Chios on Sunday and Monday, following the evacuation of hundreds of residents. Wind gusts continue to challenge emergency workers, and the full extent of the damage is yet to be seen.
AHEPA members have mobilized in response to this call to action in the past, and as wildfires in Greece become more frequent, we have seen our chapters and members come together to help in any way possible. This is something we are extraordinarily proud of.
“I’m incredibly saddened to hear of the devastation on Chios,” Supreme President Tsivicos said. “Our hearts go out to all those affected by this tragedy. The work of Greece’s first responders is truly inspiring, and we will continue to stand beside them through this time of great need.”
Every bit of your tax-deductible donation to the AHEPA Emergency Fund makes a difference. Please spread the word and encourage as many as you can to assist us in this humanitarian effort. Click the button below or visit ahepa.org/donate today!
Thank you for your attention on this matter,
Savas C. Tsivicos Supreme President
