The latest RoSPA recognition was collected in London by Carl Inman, Davies Turner Group’s health & safety, insurance and environmental manager, and Charley Trotter, sustainability and compliance advisor”.

For a fifth consecutive year, the Health and Safety standards across the Davies Turner Group have resulted in the company achieving another gold award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).

The internationally-recognised award reflects the high standards of the health and safety performance achieved by the leading global freight forwarding and logistics group over the past year.

Carl Inman, Davies Turner Group’s health & safety, insurance and environmental manager, says the RoSPA Gold Award is a highly coveted and respected accolade in the longest-running awards scheme in the UK’s health and safety sector.

Inman said: “Achieving gold in this very competitive award scheme is an achievement for any organisation. Receiving a gold award five years in succession clearly signposts Davies Turner’s ongoing commitment to continually improving the standards of health and safety within our group.

“The latest award, along with our other certifications, adds to Davies Turner’s list of achievements in the field of internationally-recognised standards of Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental management.

“It further demonstrates our commitment to all of the company’s stakeholders. This includes many of our clients that are increasingly seeking greater evidence that Davies Turner is fully engaged with environmental social and governance (ESG) issues. Those clients are seeking reassurance that they are dealing with a company that fully understands and effectively manages its corporate social responsibilities.”

Tanjot Soar, director, general counsel and company secretary of Davies Turner plc, who chairs the company’s health and safety meetings, adds: ”A board-led commitment to health and safety, and environmental responsibilities, underpins the freight forwarding and logistics activities provided by the company, as well as making sound business sense.

“Every year, nearly 2,000 entrants from organisations worldwide compete to achieve a RoSPA award and the few that do are recognised as being world leaders in health and safety practices.”

The latest RoSPA Gold Award adds to the ISO14001:2015 Environmental Management System Certification, ISO 45001:2018 Health and Safety Management System Certification at some major warehouse locations and ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Certification held throughout the Group, as well as the recently achieved EcoVadis Certification
