| For approximately 10 days, submarine outfall inspection works will be carried out within the area bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (D): (A) 22 deg. 14.329’N / 114 deg. 08.983’E (B) 22 deg. 14.317’N / 114 deg. 09.028’E (C) 22 deg. 14.226’N / 114 deg. 09.002’E (D) 22 deg. 14.239’N / 114 deg. 08.957’EThe works will be carried out by one work boat and one survey vessel. One guard boat will provide assistance. A working area of approximately 25 metres around the work boat will be established. The hours of work will be from 0800 to 1800 hours. No works will be carried out on Sundays and public holidays. Vessels employed for the works will not stay in the works area outside the hours of work. Diving operations will be carried out from time to time during the hours of work. Vessels engaged in the operations will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations. Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution and keep clear of the works area at slow speed, bearing in mind there are divers working in the works area. Jubail Port Authority has announced that during the Holy month of Ramadan, all port officials will work between 1000-1500 hours local time Sunday–Thursday. The port stevedoring company will work seven days a week in the following shifts: During Ramadan, GAC Saudi Arabia’s official working hours will be from 0900 to 1500 hours local time from Sunday to Thursday. | The Holy month of Ramadan will start on 27 May, subject to sighting of the new moon. During Ramadan, stevedores at the port of Dammam will work from 0800 to 1200, 1500-1700, 1900-2400 and 0100-0400 hours local time. The break fast break will be for two hours from 1700 to 1900 hours.

| The below advice was issued late last night (23 May) as a result of the tragic incident in Manchester on Monday night our sympathies are with the victims of the families who have been tragically killed and injured.
At this moment there is no specific intelligence of a threat against maritime security and the ISPS security level remains at level 1, however there will be some impact on our lives through an increased security presence focused on public spaces… …Last night (Tuesday 23 May 2017) following an assessment by Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre (JTAC), the Prime Minister announced that the UK threat level from international terrorism is now CRITICAL, meaning an attack is expected imminently. The level of threat is complex and ranges from lone actors intent on carrying out crude attacks to sophisticated networks pursuing ambitious and coordinated plots. Together with our partners we are doing everything we can across the country to prevent attacks and to protect the public from harm. In response to this heightened threat members of the public will see an increased Policing and security presence at key sites, such as train stations and other crowded places to help protect our communities. As a precautionary measure you will see an increased number of officers on duty to provide a highly visible, reassurance presence across the country. The Police urge the public to remain alert but not alarmed – the Police service and our partners are doing everything we can to help protect the security of our communities, public institutions, critical national infrastructure and businesses and places of interest. Security measures and activities are under constant review to reflect where the threats exist. | Security at the entrances to the Port of Felixstowe has been heightened, following the raising of the UK security threat level to “critical” in the wake of the terrorist attack in Manchester this week.

| The NOBRA Board of Examiners is charged by the State of Louisiana with the responsibility of promoting and maintaining the safety of maritime commerce along the Mississippi River. To this end, and in recognition of the present river conditions with respect to the high river gages, the Board of Examiners requests that when the Carrollton Gage reaches 16 ft. the implementation of the following emergency procedures are as follows:
1. Mile 233.0 AHP to Mile 90.5 AHP, south bound vessels will be daylight only; 2. Mile 166.0 AHP to Mile 232.2 AHP, all vessels will be daylight only; and 3. Vessels anchoring in NOBRA’s area of responsibility with a draft of 30 feet or greater must maintain a pilot on board while at anchor to insure safety of the vessel. These emergency procedures will remain in effect until the Baton Rouge gage has a reading of 40 feet falling in combination with the Carrollton Gage reading of 16 feet falling.
