Marine site investigation at Lai Chi Wo

For approximately 4 months, marine site investigation works involving drilling of boreholes and geophysical survey will be carried out within the area bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (D):
(A) 22 deg. 31.851’N / 114 deg. 15.795’E
(B) 22 deg. 31.832’N / 114 deg. 15.898’E
(C) 22 deg. 31.723’N / 114 deg. 15.875’E
(D) 22 deg. 31.742’N / 114 deg. 15.772’E

The drilling of boreholes will be carried out by one special purpose vessel. Yellow flashing lights will be installed at the four corners of the special purpose vessel to indicate its position. One tugboat will provide assistance.

The geophysical survey will be carried out by a survey vessel travelling at a speed of about 2 to 3 knots as well as towing a side scan sensor approximately 5 metres astern of the vessel.

The hours of work will be from 0700 to 1900 hours. No works will be carried out on Sundays and public holidays. Vessels employed for the works will stay in the works area outside the hours of work.

Vessels engaged in the operations will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution.

Mooring/unmooring of vessels at Tuas Finger One project

The working period for the Tuas View reclamation has been extended. From 18 October 2018 to 17 April 2019, the locations of the mooring buoys are as follows (WGS 84 Datum):
HSHSPBV-MB3) 01 deg. 15.570’N / 103 deg.38.467’E (Fl. Y. 5s)
HSHSPBV-MB3A) 01 deg. 15.570’N / 103 deg. 38.639’E (Fl. Y. 5s)

The mooring and unmooring of vessels will be carried out one at a time during daylight hours between 0700hrs to 1800hrs.

Reclamation work at Tuas View, off Temasek Fairway

The working period for reclamation work at Tuas View, off Temasek Fairway, has been extended.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.100 of 2018 dated 12 October 2018, the work will now be conducted 24 hours daily – including Sundays & Public Holidays – from 18 October 2018 to 17 April 2019 within the working area bounded by the following coordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 1 deg. 16.297’N / 103 deg. 38.390’E
2) 1 deg. 16.297’N / 103 deg. 38.709’E
3) 1 deg. 15.543’N / 103 deg. 38.709’E
4) 1 deg. 15.543’N / 103 deg. 38.414’E
5) 1 deg. 15.608’N / 103 deg. 38.414’E
6) 1 deg. 15.608’N / 103 deg. 37.217’E
7) 1 deg. 15.651’N / 103 deg. 37.217’E
8) 1 deg. 15.651’N / 103 deg. 37.276’E
9) 1 deg. 15.651’N / 103 deg. 38.601’E
10) 1 deg. 16.188’N / 103 deg. 38.601’E
11) 1 deg. 16.188’N / 103 deg. 38.384’E

The reclamation work involves the caisson installation, rock mound works, removal of existing stone shore protection, dredging and underwater blasting at basin and sand key trench.

Safety boats will be deployed to warn other craft in the vicinity of the working area.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear of the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and to navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 22 (Jurong Control);
and
e) Communicate with Jurong Control on VHF Channel 22 for assistance, if required.
