Increase in the number of vessels authorised to carry ADMIRALTY Digital Publications
TAUNTON, 14 FEBRUARY, 2010 – The UK Hydrographic Office (UKHO) has announced that two more flag States have approved the use of ADMIRALTY Digital Publications (ADP) in place of their paper equivalents.
Thailand and Moldova-flagged vessels can now carry the full range of ADP products while continuing to meet SOLAS carriage requirements. These are two of six flag States who have approved the use of ADP in the last six months. They join most of the world’s leading flag States in drawing upon the benefits of the digital versions of trusted ADMIRALTY publications, helping to support safe and efficient navigation around the world.
ADMIRALTY Digital Publications (ADP) is a world-leading range of digital nautical publications, comprising of:
– ADMIRALTY Total-Tide (ATT), accurate tidal predictions for more than 7,000 ports and 3,000 tidal streams
– ADMIRALTY Digital List of Lights (ADLL), the world-leading source of navigational light and fog signals information
– ADMIRALTY Digital Radio Signals (ADRS), a source of maritime radio communications for pilot and traffic services, plus international port operations
– ADMIRALTY e-Nautical Publications (AENP), official ADMIRALTY Nautical Publications in a convenient electronic format, bringing improved efficiency, accuracy and access to information that bridge crews need. Containing the same certified data as their paper counterparts, AENPs are devised to meet SOLAS carriage requirements and can be used in place of their paper equivalents.
