For the 33 rd consecutive year the GSCC presents statistical data, in the form of 11 tables on Greek controlled ships over 1,000 GT, registered under the Greek and other flags. The data has been provided by IHS Markit. The following is a short analysis, prepared by the Secretariat, of the data provided. Information from Table 1, compared with corresponding data from the previous year, shows that, during the year to March, 2020, the Greek controlled fleet has decreased slightly in terms of number of vessels, but increased in terms of DWT and GT. According to the data, as of 02.03.2020, Greek interests controlled 3,968 vessels of various categories, of 340,823,637 total DWT and 199,693,859 total GT. Compared with the previous year’s data, this represents a decrease of 49 vessels, and an increase of 1,274,280 DWT and 1,529,779 GT. The figures include 158 vessels of various categories on order from shipyards, a total of 18,411,004 DWT and 13,017,734 GT.
