
Maritime robotics disruptor company will benefit from Dan’s strong leadership background in emerging technologies
Southampton, UK: Maritime robotics technology company Ocean Infinity today announces the appointment of Dan Walker as a Non-Executive Director.
Dan comes to Ocean Infinity following senior leadership roles across the energy and natural resources industries, including Vice President of engineering at bp.
Outside of the energy industry, Dan has pursued post-doctoral research in fluid and structural dynamics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and held a lectureship in Engineering Science at the University of Oxford. Dan is a chartered mechanical engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
In Dan’s current role as Deputy Group Chief Scientist at blue chip miner Rio Tinto, he’s leading the company in leveraging science, technology and innovation to drive sustainable mineral sourcing.
Dan joins established board-members Ross Hyett, Oliver Plunkett and Peter Forhaug, with his appointment effective immediately.
