The 3 top Ocean Exchange Award winning start-ups from 2022 are:
Neptune Award Winner – NovFeed: BioTech global leader in development of aquaculture feed. NovFeed has a biotechnological platform where organic waste is converted into a natural, traceable, and safe non-animal protein source for aquaculture feeds. This groundbreaking approach is a game changer for sustainable aquaculture as it reduces the need for wild fish as a feed source.
Orcelle Award Winner – BeePlanet– Energy Storage global leader in the development of reusable lithium for 2nd life batteries. BeePlanet battery reduces CO2 emissions by up to 70% compared to a new battery.
Transportation Innovation Hub – C2C NewCap – global leader in low-environment impact batteries. C2C NewCap solution cuts over 8 kilo euros in operation costs and 14 tons of carbon emissions per year. Product GO-START is a supercapacitor module capable of being installed in the battery compartment of a truck without new cabling or modifcations.
